1. Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory for all Inspector-level posts.
2. Age Limit
- Inspector (CBN): 20–30 years
- Inspector (Posts): 18–30 years
- Sub-Inspector (CBI): 20–30 years
- Sub-Inspector (NIA): 20–30 years
- Assistant Enforcement Officer: Up to 30 years
- Inspector (Income Tax, Excise, etc.): 18–30 years
- Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
3. Physical Standards
Certain posts, such as Inspector (Central Bureau of Narcotics) and Sub-Inspector (CBI), require candidates to meet specific physical standards, including:
- Height: Minimum 157.5 cm for males; 152 cm for females
- Chest (for males): 81 cm (with a minimum expansion of 5 cm)
- Weight (for females): Minimum 48 kg
Physical tests may include walking and cycling assessments.
